How to Do Keyword Research for YouTube for Free – explained by SEO expert and content agency owner Ty McDuffey after posting 700 videos to the Duff Radio music and podcast channel

How to do YouTube keyword research for free – my name is Ty McDuffey. I have posted over 700 YouTube videos to my music and podcast channel, Duff Radio.

The first way to do YouTube keyword research for free is by going to the search bar and typing in whatever keyword you want to target. For example, if the keyword we wanted to target was “music promotion,” we would type that in. Then, YouTube gives you a dropdown menu full of keywords that we know people are already searching for.

The other thing you can do is go to your inspiration tab, new inside of YouTube studio. From there, you can look at some of the AI-generated content ideas YouTube has given you. You can use some of those content ideas to target keywords, as well.
